It was a cold Friday in the summer and Sam was attending the funeral of an old man who had died from several scratched on his body. The funeral was about to end and they where all standing in a circle outside. Sam let his eyes wonder off. The church in the town was located right next to a big lake, the only thing seperating the building from the water was a white fence around the church and an old gravel road. On the road there where two younger people. They were both dressed as to attend the funeral, yet they where standing on the outside of the white fence Sam couldn't tell wether they were arguing or not, but ater a while of watching them the young woman walked straight into the lake till' the water reached her hips. Her dress floated up beside her and she turned to say something to the guy standing on the road. Sam tried lip-reading, but could only make out 'do you sense that' which made no sense to him at all. Some people are just strange he told himself and didn't really think more about it.
"Did you remember the pie?" Deans voice came from under the impala. "No Dean, I forgot it. Especially after the 32 textmessages I got from you, telling me to remember it"
Dean got up and started roaming the brown paper bags for his pie. "So did you find anything?"
"It's a bit vague, but I got two victims both with scratched up bodies and no witness, both in this same week. And then there's the strange weather here. It's not supposed to be so cold, not even this early in June"
"Sounds wolfie-all except the weather. Now where is the pie!" Dean said in an angry voice, staring at his brother as if it was a joke. "Huh?" Sam didn't really notice. Had he forgotten the pie this time? "Go out and get me one"
"Dude, if this really is a case we don't have time for food right now" But despite Sams complains Dean wouldn't listen. "The pie. Now!"
Drizzeling rain was falling from the sky when he finally found a place they sold pie. It was a small carriage almost like an ice cream booth. He was about to order when he heard a voice from behind. "You should take the peach pie. It's the best in the state" Sam turned at the voice. It was the girl from before, only this time she had changed into normal clothes and a big, black umbrella with the handle of a samurai sword. "Ah-thanks" he took her advice and ordered the peach pie. "You a local from 'round here? If you don't mind me asking, It's just that I saw you outside the church earlier." The man in the booth gave him the pie, then disappeard into the carrige again.
"Ah, yes. The man with the scratched body. Protocol says werewolf, but it's more likely a hurt wendigo if you ask me"
"Scuse me?"
"You are a Whinchester, right; a hunter? I couldn't help but sense it- plus Caspar told me" Who is this girl? "You a hunter too?"
"Not exactly. I'm more like a quest-seeker. If you get what I mean" she said and lit a fireball in her hand "Not to worry, I'm not a demon" she saw the worried look on Sams face. According to Casper she was allowed to show this one guy her powers he had also told her that he was a hunter, and so far he had been right.
Sam took some time to get over the shock from the fire ball.
"And the strange weather and drop of temperature, that was you too? If you're not a demon then who are you?" he had never heard of any human with these abilities before. She had to be some sort of demi god. "Oh, I forgot-I'm Ebba, daughter of mother earth, nice to meet you." she said and did a little majestic bow with her head. "And who knows, I might just help you out on this case, It's my town after all- the most valued place for supernatural beings, and you my friend are right in the middle of it.
[what can I say? Dean really wants his pie =P ]
